Afro Man

Afro Man is a hack of Mega Man 3. Due to the hacker's inexperience with ROM hacking at the time, as well as his lack of a clear theme, the hack seems unpolished and random. His excuse is that it was only meant to be a learning hack in the first place. It was originally inspired by the Mega Man 5 hack Mega Man 1977.

[edit] Characters

Afro Man is, for no reason, an afro-bearing secret agent from the 1970s. Also for no reason, he is on a mission that sees him traveling through time to eliminate various people. There is once again no reason why he is even out to eliminate them in the first place.

Spark Man is an unspecified character from a River City Ransom hack the hacker was working on concurrently with Afro Man. The other hack eventually became Madd City War X.

Snake Man is intended to be the character Picky from the Sega fighting game Fighting Vipers. The edit on the character itself is the only edit that the hacker isn't presently embarassed by. The character's weaponry is another matter.

Needle Man has no real idea to it, so the edit is merely a transparent version of the original Needle Man.

Hard Man is intended to be a version of the character Kenny from South Park. This version is from a future where Kenny managed to not die repeatedly and grew up to become a muscular body builder sort. The detachable hands were never explained.

Top Man is intended to be an original character that the hacker was using on role playing sites at the time. He is Jared Highwind, a former monk that wields a staff.

Gemini Man and his clone are generic ninjas. They are known as the Twinja, but the hacker never got around to updating the game's text as far as character names were concerned.

Magnet Man is a random anarchist on account of the hacker's interest at the time in the concept of anarchy.

Shadow Man is intended to be the character Noob Saibot from the Mortal Kombat series. This battle is unfairly hard due to featuring an all-black character against an all-black background. The only way to track him is to watch where his feet land, which is both rare and brief.
